Six of Britain’s top display firework companies will be competing in the UK’s No.1 pyrotechnic competition this summer, which takes place in Plymouth on the evenings of 14th and 15th August.

Firing from a breakwater in Plymouth Sound, this spectacular free event will be visible from all around the area but for the best vantage point head for the Hoe, where there will also be live music, a fun fair and catering – but do get there early to get the best seating areas.

Each night the competition will feature three 10 minute displays with lots of vibrant colours and big bangs to create a wow factor that is second to none.

For those wanting to stay in Plymouth, the advice is book early as the local hotels and guest houses get very full.   There’s also plenty to do in the City during the day – from boat trips to attractions like the National Maritime Aquarium – see https://www.visitplymouth.co.uk/things-to-do/attractions

Over the two days judges will be scoring each of the teams to decide whose display is the very best in keeping us all entertained and at the end, one of the companies will be crowned British Firework Champions 2024.
